I’m Kurt Pinkerton, Rainstone’s responsible master plumber. Watch how we handle water heater repair and replacement on real jobs here in Round Rock — then call us any day from 5 AM to 11 PM, and we’ll take care of yours.
I’ve trained more than 25 people from their first day holding a wrench all the way to journeyman, and several of them run plumbing companies of their own today. That’s the bloodline of the crew that serves Round Rock — people taught that an honest diagnosis beats a bigger ticket, every time. Tankless is right for some Round Rock homes and wrong for others, and I’d rather talk you out of the wrong system than sell you the expensive one. Every job we run here carries a permit, an inspection, and a warranty.

Our Round Rock office, at 400 West Main Street, Suite 103, anchors Rainstone’s Central Texas work. From downtown Round Rock our crews serve the city itself and the communities that belong to this office: Austin and Georgetown. The service list is the same nine we offer everywhere — inspections, repairs, replacement, installation, tankless, maintenance, emergency repairs, leak detection, and commercial work — but the local conditions give the work its own character.
Central Texas water comes out of limestone country, and it is some of the hardest in the state. Scale is the tax it collects: it coats tankless heat exchangers until they error out, and it settles in tanks as sediment that steals efficiency and years. That is why so much of our Round Rock work is preventive — descaling and flushing done on schedule — and why our $125 service call always includes a straight assessment of the whole system. A tank with honest years left gets a repair and a maintenance plan, not a sales pitch. A unit that is genuinely finished gets a written replacement quote and a clear explanation of the options.
For homeowners who would rather not think about any of this, an annual maintenance visit keeps the flushing and descaling on our calendar instead of yours. The Round Rock office is open 5 AM to 11 PM, seven days a week — call 512-881-9603 and you will reach the team that serves your street.
A homeowner in one of Round Rock’s established neighborhoods called about a rumbling, popping tank and showers that ran short. In limestone country that soundtrack usually means one thing, but the rule on our trucks is to prove it before pricing anything — the $125 service call is waived in full when a replacement follows.
The flush told the story: a heavy load of sediment came out of the tank, and the anode rod — the part that corrodes so the tank does not have to — had thinned to nearly nothing. The tank itself was sound. Age and condition said repair, not replace.
So the crew flushed the tank clean, fitted a new anode rod, and tested the relief valve before refilling. Hot water capacity came back the same visit, and the homeowner left with a simple rhythm instead of a replacement bill: flush yearly, anode check on schedule. Some of the best jobs we run are the ones where the honest answer is the smaller one.
